The definitive belay parka, used from Alaska to the Alps to the Karakoram, the DAS Parka delivers exactly what the serious storm-battling alpinist needs: idiot-proof warmth. Simply put, it sheds snow, blocks wind, and the best-in-class, high-loft hollow-fiber PrimaLoft® One (170-g) insulation stays warm, even when wet. The light yet tough polyester quad-ripstop shell fabric is treated with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish and is reinforced at the shoulders, elbows and hips. An adjustable, helmet-compatible hood and the tall collar protect your face. Finer points: insulated handwarmer pockets, zippered chest pocket, inside mesh pockets for drying gloves and a 2-way zip that lets you see your belay device. Stuff sack included.
